Raw Materials

Feed ingredients supplied across Peninsular Malaysia to mills, farms and research institutions.

Alongside our own NOZO feed production, we trade the raw materials that go into it. The same buying relationships and the same incoming quality checks — available to feed mills, commercial farms mixing their own rations, and universities and agencies running trials.

Because we mill ourselves, we know these materials as a user rather than only as a trader. If something is not right for your formulation, we will tell you.

Raw materials

Energy & protein sources

The bulk of any ration — cereals, oilseed meals and milling by-products.

Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE)

A by-product of palm kernel oil extraction and a mainstay of Malaysian ruminant rations. High in fibre, moderate in protein, locally abundant and cost-effective.

Soybean Meal

The primary vegetable protein source in most compound feeds, valued for its amino acid profile — particularly lysine.

Maize

The principal energy cereal in poultry and ruminant diets. High in starch, low in fibre, highly digestible.

Wheat Pollard

A wheat milling by-product offering moderate protein and fibre. Commonly used to balance energy density and to aid pellet binding.

Oat Pollard

An oat milling by-product providing palatable fibre. Useful where a softer, more digestible fibre source is wanted.

Molasses

Cane molasses. Improves palatability and intake, binds pelleted feed, and supplies readily fermentable energy to the rumen.

Raw materials

Macrominerals & buffers

The major minerals — calcium, sodium, chloride and magnesium — plus the buffers that keep intake and rumen conditions stable.

Salt

Sodium chloride. Maintains electrolyte balance and helps regulate feed and water intake.

Sodium Bicarbonate

A rumen buffer. Guards against acidosis in high-concentrate diets, which matters in intensive feedlot and dairy rations.

Magnesium Oxide

A concentrated magnesium source supporting rumen function and helping guard against hypomagnesaemia.

Limestone M20

Ground calcium carbonate at a coarser grind. A general-purpose calcium source for compound feed across poultry and ruminant rations.

Limestone M200

Finely ground calcium carbonate. The fine particle size dissolves quickly and mixes evenly, which suits premixes and mash feed.

Limestone 2/16 Chipping

Coarse granular limestone. Larger particles are retained in the gizzard and release calcium slowly overnight — the period when shell formation happens — which is why coarse calcium is specified in layer diets.

Raw materials

Vitamins

Single vitamins supplied on their own, for mills and farms topping up a ration rather than buying a full premix.

Vitamin E

The principal antioxidant in feed. Added where diets carry high unsaturated fat, where extra antioxidant cover is wanted alongside selenium, or where stress and heat load call for more than a standard premix supplies.
